Postgraduate Administrator and Marketing Officer
Duties:
Primary role is the recruitment and administration of Postgraduate Research Students in Chemistry (one of the largest departments in terms of research students), including policy and management communications on the web. I also co-ordinate skills development and progression reporting.
Included in this role are several Marketing and Conference organising duties that include design and production of Brochures and Web information, advertising (including writing copy), strategic management of expectations for recruiting purposes and other duties. We have increased the number of graduate students in the Department from 66 to 98 in the last two years, and my role supports the functioning of 32 research groups.
As a skills tutor I develop students and staff through the delivery of a number of development courses designed to develop identify and practice existing transferable skills and turn them into a saleable skill for personal and professional development.
